The Rubber Cafe' - Love Fest!

We're having a blast of Valentine cards and ideas coming to you from the whole team today!  So be sure to check it out The Rubber Cafe' Blog and see what the other Design Team members have to share.

For my project - I wanted to share a quick tutorial on how I made my cute little 3 x 3 card envelopes!  I got my Scor-Pal out as well as my Scor-Envi which works along with the newest Scor-Pal.

First of all here's my little Valentine-

Here's how I made these envelopes.  These are all cut from 5 3/4" square, so that is perfect for this little 6" pads.  So before I started scoring each piece was cut down a 1/4" on each side.  As you see below.

Next with the add-on accessory Scor-Envi, push that up into the RH corner of your Scor-Pal.  The beauty of this little piece is that along with helping you score your sides it also tells you all the measurements you need based on your finished card size - how large to cut your paper, and where to make your score lines.  All the math is figured out for you already!  See below- I placed the scor-tool next to the 3 x 3 card measurements under the Square Cards section.

so following the Score-line measurements you'll be scoring 4 1/4" on the LH side, to get the correct line, use horizontal measurements along the top of the Scor-Pal, the next score line is at 7 3/4" this time you'll find the measurement on the Env-Buddy itself, see how below in the picture in the center, how I have paper placed and located the correct line to score by.
Turn your card a 1/4 turn, and repeat this scoring again, so all four sides have been scored.

Now that all 4 sides have been scored since this is a square card, you should have an evenly balanced section on all your flaps and leaving an 3 1/2"square inside.
You'll also notice these little triangle at each crossing.  Take your scissors and cut these out.  As you see in my first corner above.

Here's my first finished Envelope!

As you can see above, I've folded all 3 sides in and adhered them closed.  I am leaving the top side open for my card.  If you are doing prints like I am be careful of how the pattern or print is so you don't have them up-side down.

To finish my envelopes, I stamped some postage graphics from the stampset in our Creative Cafe' - Kit last month. So cute!
