Today I have a quick post to share it's my Tag for July from Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2012 of July! I used the 4th of July theme like in TIm's tag and also tried his cool technique with the ink and compressed air. He made it look easy... I had a few tries before I got something I was happy with. Here' Tim's tag...
and here's what I came up with ...
I loved this stampset, it's a retired set from Stampin'Up! And have not used it yet so this was a perfect opportunity to break it out!
This was such a fun project I used glossy paper and I am using regular re-inkers dye ink. I think Tim used alchohol inks. But still a cool effect . I cut a Primitive star out first and than cut the Tag out the other half - so I could put it back together kind of like a puzzle! I added grommet hardware in the opening at the top of my tag, and hung a bell (that's my Liberty bell!)
That's it for now... have a great weekend!

Love the project, but I was roaring..."it's retired but I have never used it"....who does that? Oh, WE do. brahahaaaaaaa
Totally fun! Love how you have the colors running off the star and onto the tag.
