Back from the Ontario Scrapbook Expo!

Hey -  I'm back from the Ontario Expo- and thought I'd pick up where I left off from Saturday's post  The Rubber Cafe' - blog  and share some additional photos I took from the crop later that night and some pics after the store was all packed up and ready for the next show!

Before....

                                                                                  ....and After!

And here's some pics from the crop !  Below are my cropping buddies, Jennifer and Linda!

Here you can see in the far left hand side of the pic, there was a back drop they provided for us to take pictures against - with a curtain, that said 'I Love Lucy' - I have a closup that I'll update when I get it off my camera.

I Love Lucy! - Cake-Pops!!
Every night they made cake pops and gave out as a special treat.  I found after having my first cake pop ever they are not something I like! LOL  Imagine that!!  But I really loved the way they decorated these for our Saturday night theme for I Love Lucy.  So had to take a picture!!

12 Tags of 2012- September

Hi, Hope you all had a good weekend!

Quick post today so I can get my latest tag up and running - here's my take on Tim's September tag for the tags of 2012!

Although I didn't use the metallic background techniques that Tim did, I kept it similar enough while still using my smaller ATC size. My ATC is cut using G45 An ABC Primer line, and I used a new Spellbinder die I had called "Office Supplies"- to give me my notebook edge.  I added my 'typed' message by using chitchat stickers from Tim Holtz idea-ology line.  Just a simple messge "Live, Love, Create and Dream".
To create my typewriter I diecut my shape from both chipboard and paper again from G45 An ABC Primer paper.  I used a silver leafing pen to highlight the metal parts. It looked too shiny so I sanded those areas down a bit while distressing and emphasing the other cut areas of the typewriter.

I just LOVE this cute typewriter die from Tim's Alterations line.  It comes with the phone die, and you need to use the metal plate to cut by itself as these are mover shaper magnetic dies. They are just are so fun for cards, tags and small ATC projects like this one!  I couldn't put my hands on my small gears, so I improvised with my circle paper clips and screw head brads.

That's it for now!

Supplies:
Ink:  Tim Holt'z Ranger - Brushed Cordoroy, silver leafing pen
Paper: G45 - An ABC Primer, chipboard
Tools: Tim Holtz Alterations Mover Shapers - Typewriter die, SpellBinders Office Supplies die
Embellishments:  Tim Holt idea-ology Chitchat sticker words, circular paper clips, screw head brads

The Rubber Cafe' - A Sooty, Spooky Boo Tutorial

Hi Everyone!
Today I have a fun tutorial, involving a technique I learned years ago. It's a fun one and is really perfect for any Halloween card or project! I think it's called Stamp Soot techinque, and once you read on you'll understand!

I love houses - some would say I'm obsessed about houses! So when I got my hands on this wonderful stamp from The Rubber Cafe' - called the Bat Motel I just knew it was time to 'dust' off this technique and try it again.

For the tutorial - head over to the Rubber Cafe' blog - HERE !
