The Rubber Cafe' - Holiday Card and Gift Blitz

Hi Everyone- today's project was for the Holiday Card and Gift Blitz going on at The Rubber Cafe'!

For my project I starteed with a plain wood plaque in the shape of a Bird or Cardinal.  It came with a wire branch and simple holly leaves.  I painted it white and distressed it with Ranger Distress Inks, Antique Linen and Tea Dye.

I made some Pinecones in this grouping using our Fence die!  I cut 2 lengths of fence from chipboard, and rolled them.  I used Scrap Happy Glue and dipped them in Diamond Clear You're So Fine Glitter to give them an icy look.

I accented with aother pine cones and berries, and finished iwth a nice Twill Red/White stripe bow!

The really fun part about this project is the center - I masked off a circle and first sponged in Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  Than I stamped the Pine Bough stamp in Staz-on Timber brown, I accented the pine leaves with my Distress Markers in Peeled paint, and took my White Gel Signo Pen to add some highlights to the Pine Cones.  To soften the edge of the circle I 'doodle' drew lines around the edge with my Black Pen.   Finally I took the phrase 'Merry Christams' from my Christmas Tidings set and 'curved' in my block before stamping in black around the curve of my circle.  It came out a bit stark at first so I took my distress sponge from lil Inkerz kit and pounced some more cream die ink on it and all over my cardinal.  The beak needed a bit of attention so I tore a piece of Bazzill tissue weight paper, and applied it with Scrap Happy Glue.  Another cluster of smaller pine cones, berries and skinny stripped ribbon finishes the top!

That's it- be sure to check back on The Rubber Cafe' blog here- to see what else we have!

Thanks and have a good week!

The Rubber Cafe' - Christmas Cheer!

Hi - I have a quick post today -Over at the Rubber Cafe' - we're getting ready for our Holiday Blitz we are hosting here on Sunday, and came upon the Acetate piece that had been embossed with the snowflake design. So I decided to make it the focal point of today's card.
   Here it is

In the front flap - I've sandwiched the acetate piece, while stamping and coloring directly to the card on the inside with the Carolers from the Christmas Cheer set.

Here's those sweet images found in the inside of my card.

That's really it for now. Be sure to check back in here tomorrow, for the Holiday Card and Gift Blitz!
We will have several fun Cards, and projects to share for the holidays with you!

Enjoy your weekend!

An Update on Liberty !

Hi Everyone!! -  I have just a quick post-today, I wanted to share some new photos to share of Liberty - she's about 4 months old now - and today at her check-up she weighed in at 4 lbs 8 oz!  She's growing way too fast!!
Now...

Here she was when I first got her.   Only about 8 weeks old, and 2 lbs 3 oz.

These I took just last week!

It's hard to get her quiet, to take pictures, this was on my craft table, so  I happened to have my camera handy.  You can see she's always in the middle of whatever I'm doing!

Look at the size of those feet ! She has the longest legs..

Here's she's 'helping' me with my photos and blog post! :)

have a great weekend!

So really wanted to try this out!
This is just a sneak peek the rest of the story is on The Rubber Cafe' -blog HERE !
